Privacy Policy
Effective February 24, 2017
At AutoScale, we have a few fundamental principles:
- We won’t ask you for personally identifying information (“personal information”) unless we really need it.
- AutoScale may share your name, email address, and order details with the AutoScale Marketer from whom you purchased for the purpose of customer service, order related correspondence or follow up. AutoScale is not responsible for Marketer’s use of your personal information.
- If your purchase contained licensed content, like a logo, we may also have to provide your sales information to the licensor, but only in the event that they audit our sales or royalty calculation.
- Otherwise, we don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our services.
- In our service, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, kept private, and permanently deleted.
It is AutoScale’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any personal information we may collect while operating our website.
Capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meanings set out in the Terms of Service, any Addendum to the Terms of Service or policy or guidelines contained on the Site unless the context requires otherwise.
Gathering of Personal Information
We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.
Certain visitors to AutoScale choose to interact with AutoScale in ways that require AutoScale to gather personal information. The amount and type of information that AutoScale gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. We collect this information from you in order to manufacture your order, send you order status updates, product updates, and respond to your customer service requests. For example, we ask visitors who sign up as a marketer at AutoScale to provide a name, company name, email address, mailing and billing address, and phone number. Visitors who purchase product at AutoScale are asked to provide the same information including payment information. In each case, AutoScale collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with AutoScale. You can always refuse to supply personal information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Payment information is stored securely on third party payment provider services such as Stripe and PayPal. We are not responsible for your personal credit card information and have secure access to that information only through secure tokens provided by the payment provider.
